Expensive. Local cablewalla provides unlimited 160K, with constant 18-20KBPs for around 800/month.

The reliance scheme he is talking about is the reliance CDMA thing....
1500 Rs, unlimited all the way.
But speeds are 8k (at most, durig the day it is less) and the thing keeps going off, and then making those horrible beeps when it comes back. sometimes doesn't even come bak on. It is not reliable enuf to be an always on connection.

I dont know bout his city but here it is fine. I get download speeds of 8-9 KBps and it never disconnects on its own. Since I access using my cell, only time I have to disconnect is to charge my cell which is like 3-4 hours.

i didn't vote on the poll because both suck badly.
that's why i'm on 128 kbps unlimited from airtel and its pretty good, connect anytime and no limit. seems to have no connection problems or anything and has an avg of 15 kBps. on Bt though i get 17-18.
right now this is the best deal in my area, but i hop isp change their generation soon and go 256-512-1mbps unlimited.

I STILL havnt got my TataIndicom 64kbps unlimited (which i applied for 17 days ago).

I'd prefer unlimited...but if the choice were between hours and Mbs, i'd go for Hours...

Yep. Same here. Will go for hours. @Avtar, I would run out in a day and a half at the most coz am a 24/7 download freak. BSNL would be regretting the fact that they decided to give unlimited d/l till the 30th of June if they go thro' my connection stats. Too bad, don't have Airtel coverage in my area.
