Calling all Airtel HD dth users

Hello

I got my airtel Hd installed today but i am not at all happy with quality of picture. my signal strength is 200 to 222 but signal quality is 45 to 50. can u all share your signal quality please and any advise ???
 
^^ hmm did not find any difference in the pic quality.Signal quality depends on the positioning of the dish and not the STB,ensure that there no obstacles directly in front of the dish.

can u share what ur signal quality percentage
 
I am very happy with my Airtel dth.

Got it free with my LCD purchase. 3 months recharge abt to expire tomorrow.. havent switched it on 6 times even.

Might as well sell this stupid service provider's h/w for so called HD service.
 
Signal strength 250-265

Signal quality 100%

I did dish alignment and replacement at a perfect roof site by own to Edusat 74 °E. It was 199-213/90% by airtel engineer.

Airtel engineer unable to get anything about 55 when it comes to signal quality

Well, i'm watching it on a 42" LED TV and definitely see a difference in the quality...The SD box had better PQ for SD channels...

well i just wanted to know is there any effect of signal quality on picture quality

Thanks for the info but my signal quality max 50 to 55 and airtel guy spend around 1 hr but unable to to make it increase
 
^ Mine too has been around that much. When I had Big TV, the signal strength was 97% all the time. Dunno if it's a problem with Airtel or the difference in the scale of readings considered by Big TV and Airtel.

I have no idea why airtel is stuck at 50 to 55 percent in signal str my big tv shows 97 percent.
airtel says signal quality hardly matters

so overall i want to know from all who is using airtel dth to reply with what's their signal strength
 
Signal Strength at 80 and Signal Quality at 40! Dunno if it makes any difference though considering it is digital signal.

After using for around a year now I am sure it does not matter at all as signal quality is max 40 to 50 for me but looks good as usual and clear without any problem
