Calling All Dog Owners, Thinking of adopting Labrador puppy

Make a note that you are buying a lab, which is a large breed. and Labs require a lot of excercise everyday. average 2km walks 4 days a week is the minimum requirement. 3months without walks they become obese since they have that charm to convince you to give them more food.

So, make up your mind to take her for walks everyday for the next 10-12 years. if you cant do that, dont adopt her.

she is a cutie :)

hehehe my last one was a black lab ..was obese by the time she passed away 13 years ...

sigh ..

One small thing that others haven't commented on - from your posts, it seems that you are too focused on owning a "puppy" rather than a dog/pet that will stay with you for years to come. It's too easy to get yourself into puppy mania and conveniently forget that the puppy is going to grow a lot bigger and will need more attention. A lot of people I know have experienced something along the lines of buyer remorse a few months after buying a puppy.
I certainly hope you've considered all the long term investments of time, money and most importantly, love and affection that you will need to shower on the pet, even years after it is no longer a puppy but a full grown dog.

Very cute dog btw.

Very true.
