I want to get my Creative Cambridge Soundworks 4.1 Speaker repaired as the volume controller is not working properly causing sound to not come from all speakers simultaneously.Any suggestions

I guess your volume control requires some lubrication. Go to any radio/stereo repair shop and tell them to "oil" the mechanical control.

any body know the service center for the creative cambridge speakers?Only one satellite speaker from my 2.1 setup does not sound.need to get it repaired.

^Has the satellite driver gone bad? Where are you located? If the driver's coil has worn out, there are shops which would replace the entire setup - i.e the cone, coil etc. There are cheapo ones as well so be warned. IIRC, Eazy sir once mentioned a shop somewhere in Mumbai which dealt with the replacement parts and they did it quite well for a decent price.

If there is a crossover circuit inside the satellite speaker, there is a possibility that it could have been damaged and the driver can be intact. I'm not aware of any shops in Bangalore which does the repairs. Wait for others to respond. :)

If its just the wire with the volume control, tough to find a new one. easier to get a 3.5 to 3.5 direct connector and use windows to control the volume.

no.. it's not the wire of the volume control.the other speaker works just fine with correct volume. The sub has no issues too.

connect the speaker to other channel on the woofer to see if its working or not. If its giving you sound normally then its the volume controller which has gone bad. This is a typical problem with most volume controllers especially from Creative. I have one of those Creative Inspire 2.1 (bought in 2002) which were originally designed by Cambridge sound works with exact same problem. I bought another controller from Creative which cost 500 bucks but in a year it also went bad.

Fortunately enough when I rotate the dial then it use to give sound to both speakers at certain point, so I taped it to the position where I was able to get sound from both channels & simply use Windows to control volume. I've a Logitech multimedia keyboard so it has buttons for volume which works for me. You can try this or get the controller repaired if you are not comfortable controlling volume from windows or no multimedia keyboard.

I don't think creative has an authorized service center for repairs in India but you can get it done locally from any speaker shop..
