Hello guys I'm happily bit streaming 5.1 channel audio out of my AC3, DTS, DTS HD-MA files to my ONKYO 807 AVR through optical out of my PC's sound card as well as I can do the same from HDMI out of my graphic card.

But I'm not getting digital audio (Bit stream) out of games as they are only giving 5.1 channel analog audio and my AVR doesn't feature 5.1 channel analog in as it can get more then two channel audio only in digital form like using optical in, coaxial in and HDMI in.

So how can I enjoy 5.1 channel audio out of my games.

Buddy I'm already enjoying digital output out my GPU's HDMI out and from optical out of my sound card but only in AC3, DTS, DTS HD-MA files not from games. So there is no issue with any of my hardware chain IMO.

What sound card is it? I think you may have to rely on the analog outs instead of the digital/HDMI out.

I've my system connected to a DAC but it doesn't decode DD/DTS. However I do have a separate receiver that accepts both toslink and coaxial inputs. Will give it a shot this weekend and keep you posted.

I'm using Creative Xi-FI XTREME GAMER and yes it can give me 5.1 channel analog audio out of games but my AVR hasn't any 5.1 channel analog in. So I'm looking forward to have some solution like getting 5.1 channels gaming audio in digital format somehow on any of co-axial , optical, HDMI outs as my PC and AVR own all of these three connectors.

Please note all I'm looking for is only that I want to get my gaming audio in 5.1 channel digital format so I can bit stream that signal to my AVR for amplification.
