so that the buyer can RMA it on his own? I am damn busy and don't wanna bother with the RMA if i can help it.What all details should i provide to the seller to check the warranty on the HDD apart from the Bill?

^^ hehe, lower pricing is obvious as well bro.....just wanted to know whether it will cause any trouble to the buyer apart from the waiting period.

Depends on the buyer if he is fine with the delay i don't think there is any problem. Just make sure u make the buyer aware of all pros and cons before selling and confirm warrantee status on the hdd manu website... if u can wait then get it RMAed, sell the new one ... wot say? :P

You don't even need the bill. Post a screenshot indicating the warranty remaining on the sale thread. Just hand him over the drive and let the buyer do the RMA process. WD is bound to collect the drive from his place and send him a replacement after about a fortnight. You need not price it any lower either - about 200~300 INR minus the actual price should be a fair price considering the lead time for the replacement.

 cache doesnot matter, people who are insanely worried about hdd speeds/boot times are with SSDs.

Whats the decent pricing for this as i think this is only 16MB cache one?

EACS, EADS & EARS have a cache of 16, 32 & 64MB respectively.

Cannot comment on the pricing part since it's pretty subjective. If you purchased it recently, price it at 200~300 INR lower than the price you have paid.

Imrahn .. Just give a 10% off the price of a new one. If u feel generous, some more. Its a HDD with full warranty right? that will also apply for the RMA one.. so... its cool.

Wd has onsite warranty naa..u just have to pack in box and wait at your place for courier guy to get it?

Even that is not possible?
