I post this thread with due respect to the Moderators, Administrators and Staff of TE. I love TE and I am just making a simple point as my post will further explain.
So, I had enough doses on Law and Legality here on TE yesterday.
I decided to check the legality of some of the threads on TE in the light of TE Guidelines and Forum Rules.
The base for my study comes from the Forum Rules that can be found here: TechEnclave Community Rules
I make special reference to the following extract from the abovementioned Forum Rules:
I found threads that are rampantly flouting the 7th commandment of TE:
http://www.techenclave.com/internet-talk/post-screenshots-ratio-proof-get-invite-125923.html
The above thread spans about 88 pages and has about 1,306 Replies as on date.
Commonly used and referred sites in the above thread includes Bitgamer, demonoid, HDbits, sceneHD, bitsHDTV, torrentbit.ro, bwtorrents, desitorrents, saintsinners, bitsHD, sceneaccess, waffles, RevTT, stmusic, TV torrents etc.
And one whole Sub Section devoted to flouting the 7th Commandment here: http://www.techenclave.com/p2p/
My Arguments:
The abovementioned thread is specifically used to share invites for torrent tracking sites that obviously have pirated content on it. Hell, some members have even stated the stuff that they have downloaded from such sites. What’s more, others even go so far as to post screenshots clearly showing the pirated movies and games available for download on such sites.
And the posts belong not just to the usual members, some of the so called senior members with high reps and even Moderators have posts on the threads.
I would like to quote Aces170 here (with due Respect to him):
The Obvious Defense:
Well, the obvious defense will be that the Torrent Sites are being used for downloading Legit stuff only. Freeware and Personal data shares!!
Secondly, TE cannot be responsible for the stuff that people do on the Bittorrent sites. It is beyond the purview of TE.
AGREED... On Both counts. :hap2:
But, Can anyone be kind enough to post screenshots of having downloaded only freeware or Personal data from any of the abovementioned sites??
People who cannot justify their claims with proof have the right to remain silent.
What I have to say:
I am not saying that the TE Mods or Admins have been wrong in allowing the above threads and discussions; illegal discussions if I may call them.
I am not pointing a finger at the Mods or Admins; in fact, I trust them and have full faith in them. I have seen the absolute sense of justice that prevails in their minds during my days here on TE. Special thanx to apollyon.
So, if I am saying anything, I am just saying that the law should be equal for all and the justice done should be equal for equal offences.
If discussions about driving a vehicle without a driving license are not encouraged on TE, why are discussions about piracy encouraged (and even provided separate sections for) on TE?
TE Members, DO NOT post any of your views here unless you can justify them.
Supporters of the P2P Section, unless you have conclusive evidence to show that the P2P Section is clean, DO NOT utter a word here.
@ TE Mods and Admins:
I am not creating a revolt here. I have read the TE Guidelines really well and I am sure I am not flouting any rule in making this post.
I am also aware that you are at liberty to ban me and I have no right to ask you for a reason. Even if I do ask for a reason, you are under no obligation to provide one.
But please do note that banning me or deleting this thread solves no purpose. The Truth cannot be deleted or banned. And you really know what the truth is.
Finally, I would like to mention that ‘Unequal Law is no Law at all’.

We are a clean forum here, any sort of illegal activity or any discussion encouraging one will be dealt with bans.
