Can we make reversal of a bank transaction

HI,

Last month for one of the deal here at TE, I made a payment to a dealer. I have his earlier bank account details, hence made the payment to him.When I PM'ed him, he said it is no more his acc, and closed long back. Then I made another payment to his right acc.

I called up ICICI CC, they confirmed, if the account is closed, it will be reversed to my acc. As the dealer confirmed it's closed long back, I kept quiet. After two days the payment has been made to the closed account.

I contacted the dealer, he said it's his friends account, and said he will contact him. I received the last message from him on 2nd October. (His friend moved to some other state, where as the acc is in some other state, as per the PM)In the mean while I sent him few PM's asking him to provide the details, but he has not replied to my PM's

I know, its my mistake that I made the payment, without confirming him. I am not blaming him for this.

Now, is there any way to reversal the transaction? I contacted both the banks, they said they can not help.

Any help on this regard to get my money will be great for me

@Mods I have created this thread in general talk, as I am not complaining about the dealer.

you'll have to ask the dealer to ask his friend to send you that money.
 
Like others said only way will be for recipient to give back the money. Else you'll have to go through the long way - File a case.

this is the right way, by the book

1) register a case at a local police station

2) go to a lawyer & try sending a notice to the person with attached a photocopied police complain (understood that you have the bank details of the person)

3) still no response then, hire a lawyer and file a case under which ever section applicable

4) after all the time & money spend behind it, maybe within 15 to 20 years you would get a verdict (not your money yet provided you win the case which is your mistake)

5) the job of the court is to solve the case, whichever way its possible, the other person may agree to pay in installments or which ever other ways possible.

The amount stuck is close to 2K.

Going to police station, lawyers,court will cost more than the actual amount ( Also I dont want to proceed this way. I am just trying to find an alternate way).I am really disappointed, that the dealer replied to my PM about a months back.. Looks like I should wait to hear from the dealer.
 
Its too late to reverse the transaction.

But if its a closed account than reversing it would had been easy make trips to the bank where it was transferred .Now you say his friend is using the account.

Than do one thing ask the dealer to pay you and get the amount from his friend.If he says no.You will come to know where the dealer stands on your side or of no use.

Than i guess the only thing would be to pester that guy or type of blackmail him that you will further transfer a big sum say 50k in his account and file a criminal case of him black mailing you.Might be you will see the transaction reverse soon.

Note::only say you will transfer 50k dont do it practically lolz...just a sort of dhamki

absolutely bad idea, apni jaroorat hai bhai, so you have to be nice to him & request.

even big criminals with billions worth of scam, police never touch them, because they has money & they have to take it out of them.
 
I got the PM from the dealer.. Hope the issue gets resolved soon

Got a message from the dealer.. He got the money and will deposit to my acc in 2 days.
