Can you relocate Dish connection yourself?

is it possible? have anybody tried it?
i have dish, wire, connection, angle can be set by looking at other dish on terrace?? only signal is the problem so far.
i can check current account balance, favorites too.
or do i have to pay videocon d2h to do it?

It might be better to have an experienced technician from Videocon D2H relocate or adjust the dish for you. They would have the necessary expertise and equipment to ensure that the dish is properly aligned and the signal is optimized.

Keep trying...u r on the right track...its all trial and error....if u cant figure it out then call the technician...

so far struggling with signal as it refuses to play even home channel.. any tips?

Yes, first u need to check what satellite is used by them....then check for app on playstore and locate the direction in sky from where u want the dish to be ...then setup dish there and afterwards set it's angle.....i did it for my airtel dth 4-5 yrs back....u can check YouTube tutorials also for this

It's not a big deal to relocate the dish antenna receiver, wiring is something you def can do yourself.
But the real challenge is identifying the signal direction, as even the slightest difference will either make it up or turn it down.

The service guy comes with a meter to check the signal, you can do that via phone as well, but if he does it in 5min, you gonna spend like an hour to achieve the best point.

first u need to check what satellite is used by them.

well logically isnt all D2H must be using same satellite specially in same building..?

Search app named "Satellite finder align DTH" on google play. Videocon d2h satellite name is ST-2 and set it to 80° East or maybe 88°East.

will check for apps and signal strength that way..

For signal strength there is a an analog meter, it can be found in market for 200-300 i think....
