Canon SD 1000/750/850IS

pls help me choose between Canon SD 1000,, SD750 and SD 850 IS.

My requirement is a pocket digital camera with decent pic quality,with decent movie quality (for digi cam).

I am mainly stuck between SD 1000 and the SD 750..but pls let me know if the IS feature on the Sd 850 is worth 50$ more.
In short which of the above would be th most VFM camera.
 
canon SD1000 and SD 750 are identical when it comes to image and video quality and even features cos they more or less use the same optics..

Where SD 750 scores over the SD1000 is in the LCD department, with a generous 3.0" LCD over the 2.5" of the SD 1000's

price wise they are almost identical (US retail prices)

so acc to me, SD 750 is the most VFM P&S camera among canon products..

although, if u dont mind brands other than canon, then there are a lot of good options in the same price range..
