Storage Solutions Can't burn DVD's @2X speed

I have a Samsung SH-S223 DVD burner. Whenever I try burning any DVD media @2X speeds, it always burns it @4X. Regardless of what burning software I use, the situation remains unchanged. I didn't have this problem with my earlier Lite-On drive. I can burn DVD-RW media which have max write speed of 2X, but any media which has speeds above 2X won't allow me to burn it @2X. Any solution to this?
 
Asper your case it is compatibility of your burner.the newer higher burning speeds have stronger laser so it will automatically choose the compatible speed. if it can burn DVD-Rw which has a max speed of 2x at the rated speed then you do not have a problem.
