Cant verify IMEI no.

Two days ago Purchased New Sony Erricson Mobile Phone
Wanted to verify IMEI so tried to send sms to 53232 but unable to send it
Today, still I am getting error while sending sms what would be the Problem can anybody waste their Rs.3 :bleh: and Let me know if it is working for them?
