Depends on the usage . You can go for Logan-i20-Ertiga-Xylo and many more under 8 lakhs .
 
I guess you should be looking at cars listed at around 6 lakhs so that with taxes and extras it sits at 8L

Swift desire has in most regions a long waiting period. Do check with that before.

Also what is your daily run or requirements?

I would suggest the manza for being vfm.

But do check upon the quality of after sales at tatas in your area before taking the plunge.

Other than that verito .

Nothing in the price bracket will get you many options.

You can wait for the chevy sail but it will take atleast the end of the year i guess.
 
Diesel Dzire if you have an usage that justifies the diesel. Plus, you need to be willing to wait. But you cannot go wrong with the Dzire, that's for sure.
 
What type are you looking for ? Sedan Or Xylo type ?

check out the Ertiga

afaik the base diesel model is around 7.5 ex-show price
 
If you are ok with a hatchback, Ford Figo diesel titanium is a good option too...should be less than 7 lakhs on the road too!

fiesta classic, long term reliablity, fun to drive, great looks with advantage of boot space, i wud prefer it anyday over i20
 
I dnt need ertiga. A 5 seater will suffice. Daily run of 40-50 kms. i20, figo doesn't attract. New Dzire's boot space is disappointing me a little. Thanks for the help till now guys. Will post after taking test drives.

booked a Dzire ZDi (White). Waiting period is 6 months but will try to apply some jack into the matter. Will get it in a month or two. :) price = 8.55 lac.

what's the point of a TD after booking another car. ?? anyways, did a lotta research and considered Sunny too, but the interiors disappointed me a lot. Compare the interiors of both the cars and you will see. And also the name of Maruti Suzuki. (good resale value and a brand which is trusted a lot).

Er. because its a different forum software. Anyways congrats on your purchase. My dad is taking delivery of the Ertiga tomorrow. I had checked out the dzire in the showroom and the interiors have been vastly improved.
 
Since you said there's a high waiting period, thought you should check that out in case you change your mind. Didn't know you already checked it out.
