The Brutalist (2024) - 8/10
Adrien Brodys performance as Hungarian Holocaust survivor is visually stunning and this is a epic historical drama.

Conclave (2024) -7/10
Ralph Fiennes delivered a performance that was nothing short of masterful as a cardinal in Vatican while Stanley Tucci delivers a compelling performance as a progressive and outspoken cardinal.

To Catch a Killer (2023) - 7/10
It is a gripping thriller that captivates viewers from start to finish & stands with other movies like Seven, Zodiac & Prisoners.
Anora (2024) - 7/10
It's essentially is a cindrella story but with a twist in the end. 1st hour is all sex but the comedy starts after that when Toros, Garnik, and Igor arrive who are the Vanya's father's henchmen. Mikey Madison as Ani was great.
Zodiac (2007) - 8/10
This movie is based on Zodiac murders committed in late 60's & early 70's by a man who names himself as Zodiac. It's gritty & unnerving till the end but the killer wasnt convicted in the end.
Memento (2000) - 8/10
This is a thought provoking film with stellar cast and stunning action. Just a well told mystery that unfolds backwards and in short intervals that keeps you guessing till the end and afterwards. It's a Nolan's movie afterall.

The Gorge - 8/10
The Movie was good, and finally some smart character who knew exactly what they had to do. The movie was slow for my taste but still enjoyed it a lot.
Kraven The Hunter - 7/10
Watched it without skipping anything, but for some reason it felt like something was missing.

Manichitrathazhu (1993) - 9/10
A cult classic of Malayalam cinema from which Rajinikanth's Chandramukhi film was taken word by word & sequence by sequence. A must see for Cult Classic movie lovers. It is on Jio hotstar OTT.
One of those rare cases, where the remade version trumps the original...but hindi version done by the same original director was meh...

Gonna review some movies I watched recently.

Rewatched Aadu yesterday. Its mindless comedy. Its got a sequel too, which is not as good.

Pani is alright. For a directorial debut, Joju Joseph has done a good job, but the writing of the movie needs work. I found that quite a few bits of the movie had nothing to do with the story and just dragged things on.

Sookshmadarshini is over hyped. Its not as thrilling as its made out to be. It was very average for me.

Rifle Club fell flat for me, just like Marco. The latter was headed somewhere for a while but ultimately fizzled out. Rifle Club has a plotline but not enough to keep you interested.

Bougainvillea, again, started well but didn't keep me interested for long. It was too bloated and led nowhere.

Lubber Pandhu was good. Its different from the standard fare. Its a good watch.

Now that I see this list, it seems I watch a lot of movies. Will keep posting reviews whenever I watch something.

EDIT: Am I allowed to rate TV series too?

The Witcher : Sirens of the deep - 1/5 - i couldn't get myself to finish this movie, so bad.

Marriage Story - 4.5/5 - I did a re-watch after stopping midway in the witcher movie, worthy of a re-watch.. it's critically acclaimed and all of it is true
