Hey guys,

I have heard that Honda has electronically limited the top speed of the CBR250r via ECU in most of the countries...

But in most of the countries the limit is around 170 Kmph...

I think in India they have set it to 150 Kmph, cause I can never go over 150 even though I have like 1KM free road ahead (Already at 150KMph @ full throttle)...

Has anyone gone over 150/155 In India ???

I think the first Batch of CBR250R 2011 can go to 155, Any one from After that batch tried its top speed ???

Is there a way to change the ECU limit ???

Edit: My Bike used to go 150KMph at stock , and now even though I have a new Leo Vince Exhaust, it still goes exactly 150KMph...

I found that the CBR205R 2012 are coming out with a changed ECU that will set the BHP to 26.7 to surpass Duke giving 25BHP @ 200cc...

This will also change other factors like Mileage and acceleration

And all the other minor changes that the 2012 will have, can be done to 2011's,

By going to any Honda Service Center @ Rs.3000 Officially

This just shows that Honda has very carefully set the Top Speed and BHP to a limit...

That can be easily changed without any Physical update...

So if the ECU were to be set to a max of say 29 or 30 BHP, even if the bike dosent reach that BHP, the ECU will atleast not Bottleneck the performance...

Upgrading the bike with ECU bottlenecking the bike already is just useless...
