Storage Solutions CD-DVD Carousel with in-built Reader / Writer

I've been waiting for something like this since the introduction of the Imation Stakka.

The Stakka, like many other carousel solutions, serves only as a store for about a 100 CD-DVDs and doesn't sport an in-built reader. This usually is a pain beacuse not only do you have to regularly manually handle the discs, you also run the risk of damaging (scratching) the discs because of regular insertion and removal..

I was looking around on Amazon and stumbled upon this little genius of a device which not only stores a 100 discs but is also capable of reading and writing to them. Unfortuantely I can't seem to find any reviews for it.

i saw this kind of product in Pune IT expo around 3-4 yrs back probably. It had reader too and usb connectivity with host/pc. I was expecting network connectivity with such a massive storage so left it without getting contact details of the company. It was costing upwards of 10k at that time, i think and that to with CD storage, not DVD one. Still very nice concept.

Wow... 3-4 years back. That's awesome.

This one sells for $299.00 which is really quite expensive. The standard version without the DVD Writer goes only for about $100.00

If they price it cheaper, I'm sure it will fly off the shelves.
