Other CDMA SIM card for data card?

I bought one of the unlocked data cards from eBay with the understanding that I could put any CDMA sim cards into it and it will work.

Yesterday however the guy at TATA Docomo told me, such CDMA sticks are programmed and it doesn't work by inserting SIM. I asked for SIM and he told me SIMs exist only for GSM 3G and not for CDMA. Is it true?

As mentioned in the eBay listing it will accept sim cards for all networks except from bsnl. Tata provides CDMA OMH sim cards using which you can use the data card for internet access. Just look for OMH word in the sim card and data should work fine

Just buy reliance cdma sim from Web world and recharge with 94 and you will get 1 GB data and then just pop into cdma phone if you have to activate EVDO on sim and then use it into data card...
Card will accept it if truly unlock for every network....
TATA cdma sim is hard to find...
I think TATA docomo is gsm only provider so you need to find one that sell TATA cdma sim...

Tata is least interested in promoting its Cdma business.. even if you insist, they arrange Cdma postpaid, no prepaid.. also, Tata is using reliance's airwaves for its photon operations & completely shut down its own Cdma BTSs..

Do you know where to get thse OMH SIM cards from?the stores here in Cochin don't have it they say.Is it available somewhere online?

Reliance network is not good in the area,hence hoping TATA might be better.

You can go with Reliance OMH too. I am just a bit skeptical about the data cards.

I got one to try with an iPad Air - failed miserably.

I am living in outskirts of cochin. Does MTS has OMH SIM Cards online?None of the stores here seems to have these OMH SIMs.Unless they can be bought from some online stores,I will have to return them.

I doubt you can get SIM online.. check for the logo on the SIM, if it's there, it's OMG.
