cell for friend

a friend of mine wants to buy a new cell.his budget is 8k max.
he has no specific requirements...he just wants a phone with the best possible features that he can get in his budget.
i suggested the Motorola L7 to him.
can anyone suggest some other models he should check out.
 
Maybe samsung x700 will also fit in his budget.
And if he wants a smartphone then he can go for 6600

Why look hard? Because it is no longer in production or because it is normally costlier than that?

What does the K750i cost? Any chance of its price coming down in a few months?
 
SE z550i(i think i hv got the model-name correct) costs 8.2k.
its a flip phone.got 1.3 mp cam,mp3 player and extendible memory.

my friend is still looking out for models,so keep the suggestions coming.
 
by looking hard i meant, its not easy to find in the market cause its quite popular, and dealers dont get it now cause K750 is more popular :P
 
My friends getting the SE z550i as well, however could not find it on display anywhere, the features & price seem nice enough though.

Why dont you get L7?It is wonderful handset.Even though it has only three skins,you can add many more.There are many dedicated sites for moto modding.
 
well,we have narrowed down the choice to one model from each company:
1.Nokia 6600
2.Sony Z550i
3.Motorla L7
4.Samsung X700
5.LG M4410

which one of these would be our best bet OR are there any more models to consider?
 
the previous post i made just gave the models we shortlisted,in no specific order of preference.
now here's our order of preference:
1.Motorla L7
2.Sony Z550i
3.Nokia 6600
4.Samsung X700
5.LG M4410

now,the L7 looks cooler while the Sony has better features.the 6600 is an old model now and is not so appealing;and my friend doesnt want an LG or Samsung.
so basically:L7 or SE Z550i?

i also heard that a company called Fly has just been launched in India and it has a model called 2040 for around 8k.anyone have any info on this?
 
Fly has indeed launched in India, and their phones are quite decent, but no service centre is yet known, so i would stay away from those for smtimes...
