cell phone for 9.5 k

hi guys..

i am looking for a phone .. with a budget of 9.5 k .. not more than that ..

i really liked .. se w550i ..

my priorities are .. excellent music playback , looks , big screen , and good camera .. which i think this phone has it all ..

also does this phone has flash and auto focus? .. ..it does not have macro mode .. but anyone ..?

since i am not a pro in cell phones ..pls give ur suggestions ..

also i am content with its 256 mb memory ...i am going to use this phone for only 6-7 months .. after that .. will get a other one ..

but right now . i want to spend only 9.5 k .. so pls suggest if this model is worth going for and .. if there are any other phones to consider ..:)

also i really liked the look of w550i .. its weight is also not an issue for me ..
 
The w550i will sound better because of the hpm-70, also with the 3.5mm jack you can upgrade to better headphones, the speaker are a bit louder on the w550i, and it's got the walkman media player which makes it easier to sort/browe for the music. For the k750i...as you said it's got a great cam not just in terms of megapixels but quality as well, expandable memory, faster UI, also transferring files is much easier as it gets detected as a USB mass storage device, although there are a few problems reported with it's joystick.

Still I'd recommend the k750i over the w550i after having used both for quite some time now :)
 
750i has a flash.. that i'm sure .. otherwise.... :ashamed:

hey wait. i dont think the 750i gets detected as a usb storage. I tried plugging a friends 750i into my pc, but the damn thing kept asking for drivers. I never was able to acess anything in that fone :(
 
You pretty much summed it up yourself....
The 550i has louder speakers and better headphones...
The walkman software is also a little better for music....
But over all i'd say the 750i is a winner...with a good camera and expandable memory.( the 256mb in the 550i is pretty small...you fill it up pretty soon and then u'll be left with nothing)
And last i personally don't like phones that have moving, rotating parts....they tend to get damaged pretty soon. and you can't really use with one hand

Both phones get detected as usb storage...makes file transfers a breeze...
And yes k750i's light does act like a flash...
 
ya u still have to install drivers, but it's much better draging and dropping/ cut paste through explorer once that's done....for the w550i you have to install the SE software(Also for accesing the internal memory on k750i).
 
hey .. so w550i does not have camera flash and autofocus ?

i am sure it does not have macro mode though ..but its not imp to me ..

i already got coolpix 5 mp camera with me .. so camera function of phone should be good .. need not be great ..

also ..k 750i comes with how much onboard memory ?.. i mean new phone..

also with w550i 's 256 mb memory.. how much songs can be stored in it ?
 
ot: the se software sucks...i just install the drivers and the software...but i never use them...
My Phone explorer rocks...Lets you do everything from your comp

The 750i's got around 40mb of internal memory & 64mb card included.

To store more songs on it, I generally convert the mp3's@128 to mp4's@64kbps using iTunes...no noticable difference in music quality, atleast outdoors.

You can store about 80 songs on the 256mb of w550i and just about fit 30 on the 64+40mb of k750.

ok .. abt w550i .. how is its camera .. in good light conditions..

i want this phone for 6-7 months only .. will get a better one later ..

which one has bigger screen ..?

Screen size is 1.8" on the k750i & 1.9" on the w550i, both have same resolution 176x220 pixel 262K colours. However the screen quality/viewing angles are much better on the 750i.

Camera is good enough during day shots with the w550i.

ok .. its w550i .. i decided upon ..

now i have been quoted 9650 rs for that .. now is it ok price .?

also what precautions should i take like .. to confirm its org box pack ..

the box was seal packed. ..also .. it had all the neccessary stickers on it ..

although its look it a org product . also .. what other things to take care of like battery and charger and bluetooth .

pls help ..

now i am really confused between k750 i and w550 i

how much a 1 gb card will cost for k 750i ..?

or even a 512 mb one ?

also is there so much difference in sound in k750i ?
