So looks like samsung and sony have limited CCFL models in 2011.

Key highlights of this year lots of 3d.
LG is getting lcd without 3d glasses.
Sony has finally updated their Bravia engine 3 to X reality and X reality PRO
All are using micro,nano LEDs.

Samsung No complete LED Panels all Edge Lit Panels! I really doubt anyone is gonna go for that.
I am personally looking forward to the Panasonic DT30 & D30 Panels.
But Sony has played a Masterstroke with Integrated WiFi(n), I am just waiting for reviews on how well do these actually perform.
But what i really dont get it is has the Market for 3D Enabled TV evolved that much? A Normal user can view about a max of 1.5Hrs of 3DTV before nausea & Headache kick in. This holds true for both With/out Glasses, I am not sure if you guys are aware but Nintendo has made a Public release regarding the same for its 3DS platform, an advisery of sorts.

Well since the LED are now micro led they can know have more zones despite being on the edges, they also have new panels with higher contrast so they will have better light stoppage capabilty, yes they won't be as good as backlight based local dimming, but the samsung natively as a higher contrast then the panasonic and LG lcds.
I agree about the craze for 3dtv which is still has a long way to go,i would first prefer a tv that doesn't cause any health related issues and to me the current 3d tech ain't one of them.

I dont think so the Higher Contrast in Samsung translates into Better Blacks , its just more Vivid ,thereby a little but artifical. No complains but thats how i feel.
Also the Micro LED thing is for D8000 not for others right? Does the d8000 stands in direct comparision with HX820( i mean in the price etc category wise)

Well these tvs will use the new 2011 panels going by with previous years improvements these tvs will most certainly have better blacks which results in better contrast.
WHat is unclear is whether these new samsung tvs use the new bluephase lcd tech similar to the present UV2A tech used in high end Sony and sharp lcds.
Its been well over a year since AUO announced the AMVA5 tech with 3x the contrast of the current AMVA3 tech used in some samsung and Sony lcds.
Hope they get the AMVA5 into production this year.
About Micro led samsung only advertizes it for D8000 and yes it appears that the direct competition will be HX820 which also features edge lit local dimming.
