Cheap led tv

My sony tv screen got busted when transferring goods via truck inter state. Need a cheap af (best among the worst) tv options. Will prefer not spending above 7-7.5k. I'll prefer online options.
Kodak 24 inch , VW 32 inch android , VW 32 inch linux are currently deliverable via Amazon. I'm not very keen on using jholkart.
  1. Should these last ok for a few years?
  2. Should I prefer linux or android as a tv os?
  3. How do I know if the model allows to download apps which don't come preinstalled?
Please guide.

1. Can't answer this one as I don't have any experience with these brands. Mi is good but it's 10k+.

2. I'd go for Android.

3. Android should allow installation of Apks via USB, you'll just need to "Allow Installation from Unknown Sources" first. It's a security setting, should be easy to locate.

  1. For Mi, even if I invest 11-12k, isn't it chinese as well?
  2. Will I be able to install apk via the remote on the android smart tv?

1. They are pretty much all Chinese, there's no avoiding it especially if you're looking for a cheaper option. I've found Xiaomi to be value for money is all.

2. I remember downloading and saving APKs on a USB drive, plugging it into the TV, and you do get an option to navigate to USB files from "Input". Then locate and install APK, it'll prompt to allow install from unknown sources, confirm it and it should work. Pretty sure you can easily find related step-by-step videos on YouTube for the model you want.

At that budget, all are pretty much same when it comes to features, quality and ass. In short, the latter two will either be non-existent or highly questionable. So pick the one with most features?
As stated above, a trip to an offline store could be useful or perhaps a second hand unit via Olx within your locality.

This makes sense. Will do this.
@mysticrainman Your best option is to explore offline market.
Since my wife is new to the area and I'm at present in another state, I'll see to what extent is this possible. For a 6 day work week individual, online always seems so much less hassle.

Agreed, let me see if there is any difference beyond OS
perhaps a second hand unit via Olx within your locality.
It is a small town, and I'm not personally there so would prefer my wife not take any risk associated with OLX transactions.
