Cheapest - Domain and Web Host ?

^ Why would you assume? No really, don't waste your time waiting for it.

'Assuming' that the owner doesn't renew it, you would probably get to buy it by June 2011. I would highly recommend finding another name starting right away, than waiting for so long. ;)

If you really want to wait, then have a look at the domain and see if it's an active and developed website. If it is, then in all probability, the owner would renew it. If it is a parked page or something, then maybe he'll let it go. :)
 
I went through the t&c's of https://www.unlimitedgb.com, and mitsu.in, and neither of them allow banner advertising.
Does that mean I can't use a google ad-sense account to generate revenue if I host with them?

Who is the cheapest host which lets you use banner ads?

It is a parked page. Just crap ads. Thats why I assumed :) But can't wait till, Jun, hence buying it another.

or I have Visa Debit card, can I assign it with Paypal and buy ?

and still confused with whois guard, but from Google Adsense :

mitsu & bigrock both reliable & accept indian payments CC/DC/NB

AFAIK both offer whois privacy
 
I heard mitsu is bad. Shall I go with it or no ?

btw I was saying shall I go with privacy protection or no, because Adsense wouldn't allow to make money if I apply whois guard

But I am bit able to see the settings of sub domain name servers.

This is waht I want, say I have registered xyz.com.

- xyz.com should be hosted on a hosting service

- blog.xyz.com on another hosting

- abc.xyz.com on another.

Is it possible ?
 
Registered my 2nd domain at godaddy...

Hosted in hostdime.in and paid for a 1 month now.. Not approved yet... Wanna try before buying a hosting plan for a year...
 
I registered a .com domain at goddaddy. They're having a promo. You need to enter "GETLUCKY" and you get your domain name for ~Rs.50 only!

The offers valid for only 1 domain name per user/credit card.
What I didn't like about goddaddy is that
1)they store your card details, and don't let you delete them.
2)they enable auto renew on your domain name, and auto debit.
3)they give you free webhosting for a month, but then it autorenews at $5 a month.
4)they don't ask for a password before debiting your account. So verified by visa doesn't work here.

I disabled the autorenew for the domain name, and cancelled the website package. I wish there was some way I could get my card details off the site.
 
i bought a Lifetime single addon Domain Cpanel hosting (Unlimited Bandwidth and Space with email accounts ) on ebay and a .in domain (with 15 email accounts + Rs.1500 Google Ad Credit)with a 75 OFF minimum purchase of 80 and its very cheap. With the domain also i got a hosting but only with FTP, no cPanel. Bidding can save You money..

It's better to pay by Paypal for such kind of transactions. They add an authorization of $xxx per month to be charged in case of future additions to your package. But you can always go ahead and remove the same from Paypal.

I guess the same cannot be done when you pay by CC directly. So in case you end up clicking on offers (there are plenty of them strategically placed all over pages), then it will be automatically charged to the card. So be careful.

NOT POSSBILE as in your xyz tld nameserver reflect subdomain so its not possible
 
^ Its very much possible. You can have custom DNS records and have the subdomain pointed to another server. Not a problem at all.

Yes, easily possible using DNS management service.
This can be either done from domain control panel OR from hosting control panel of xyz.com

Suppose you want to host abc.xyz.com on another server whose IP is 1.1.1.1
Now, All you need is create a A record abc.xyz.com pointing to IP 1.1.1.1
