Very recently Dell has introduced 24" 1080p monitors, and cost is
Rs 18900.00(including shipping). This price was before cenvat reduction may be this time the price could be less.

I have got the Dell S2409W. Am satisfied. Better deal than buying a HDTV.

Mods please close the thread.

Why ? Contribution in this thread may be uselful to others also :cool2:

It appears that there is no fullHD TV below 40-50K, which is twice my budget. Mods, please close this thread.

at 24inch lcd screens u would have to play games at high resolutions,so u will need a minimum 4870..
instead crt 17inch or 19inch lcd better

^ I mainly use it for my ps3 as far as gaming goes.. so no issues there. I tried playing COD5:WaW on it at 1920x1080, on my 8600GT (Pentium4), and surprisingly at high settings it wasn't bad - a little stuttering, but still somewhat playable.

Will concentrate on the ps3 for now, as I have a lot of games to catch up to. Once that slows down and/or I feel like going back to PC, will probably get a new desktop.

So no problem.

Also, after now having used a 24" LCD for a couple of days, I don't think I can go back to a 19" (forget 17")!!! :P

You can check Sansui. It is not a very good brand but is worth money if you want to use the TV as a monitor.

Sansui Is a good TV , I have used an 324-H HDMI Kyuuten since April Last year (got it for 34K, TATA Sky + some goodies free) It was a sweet deal then, and it has been nice on the eyes and the pocket.
