What is the cheapest way to call USA? I need to call allmost evry day and am wondering if there is a way to do that via the internet (internet to US number).
aby help would be appreciated!

Buy some IP phone service a friend of mine uses Kiwi Talk , for this purpose but he has another Kiwi Talk [Ip Phone] at his bro's place in States...

SO kiwi to kiwi call are free [unlimited 24x7]........

And also u can make calls to other US based # from it are way cheaper.......

use voipbuster, add 12$ credit which gets u unlimited free calls to usand canada ad a few other places for 60 days, the 12$ u can use to call to places which are chargeable, i.e uae, uk and the likes..

after 60 days, add another 12$ card, i think its 60 days, or 90, am not sure but been using it for a year now, touchwood.

best option .. buy a 2500 WCC from Vodafone . calls to US are 2/min and this has a validity of 9 months . This scheme is for delhi.

Do you guys have Vonage there ? I pay $26.00 a month with free calls to 5 countries in Europe, Canada, Mexico and anywhere in US. You can take your Vonage phone router anywhere in the world and plug it in to an Internet line, and it acts like your phone with a hard coded phone number... no extra charge :)

ur forgetting something here .. bandwidth :)

Vonage is banned in India, so count it out. If you're looking for outstanding call quality, Skype is the best... and it's cheap if you need to call US landlines ($0.02/min), while US cellphones are expensive at $0.25/min.

The other thing is Skype-to-Skype is free and many businesses have been using Skype the last 2 years or more. If you need to call companies, chances are you can simply Skype them for free.

Hope that helps... remember, while there are cheaper services, you basically get what you pay for :)

What?? I have been using Vonage for more than a year now... excellent service, haven't experienced any downtime or call cuts.. and works great with my 512kbps connection. $15 pm gives 500 min for parents to call from India, whereas I can call them for free using my nightime min from US.

Thanks guys for the suggestions! Sorry for not replying sooner.
I think, skype looks to be a good way.. I also have to report the GRE and TOEFL scores too and many suggested skype for that purpose too.

I have a query about earthcaller, If i make a call using earthcaller to a US [AT&T] mobile user what number does the cellphone display?
