Now im bankrupt :eek:hyeah:

Nice rig there. Congrats. Please post some benchmarks.

I suggest you get a 800VA UPS for this.

BTW, How much was the 701T? Does it have DVI?

A very nice rig u've there. I was considering the very same graphics card as it come factory OCed n with a very good, cool, efficient and not-so-noisy HSF on it! Congratulations!!

since a 500VA UPS wud give enough backup for about 10 minites for ur system with 17" CRT, u cud expect about 15-20 mins since u use a low-power-consuming LCD. Among the 500VA models, I wud recommend the APC Back-UPS which costs about Rs.2500.00. Though a 800VA or even a 1kVA model wud be much better, they cost that much more. The 800VA model costs around 6k n the 1kVA shud cost around 8k.

Hmm...Nice rig... :eek:hyeah: :hap2:

a 800VA shud suffice ur needs....but as masky said ....costs go bumping...
so if ur on a tight budget u can get a 500VA ...tht wud be fine too...
Also i see aLOt of ur stuff available here ....so why did u get it frm US...
Was it cheaper tht way??.....i dont know.....shud b about the same right??

Hardboy, does it really make a difference if you post 2 messages within a minute in the same thread? Huh!
For your kind information, there's something called an "Edit" button at the end of your message! ;) And tell you what, this is not the first time that I noticed you doing this! Believe me, this won't help you at all in increasing your post-count! :eek:hyeah:

ya the 710T supports DVI
and go in for the APC BR800IN i have a rig thats kinda similar to yours and i use the 800IN and it gives me 27mins backup and also greeeaaaat service

Nice rig but did u get the entire thing from outside
india.

Well now doubt its power ful but just a few things
i would have suggested.

- should have got/waited-for a 3500+ Venice core i dont know
if u have got a venice or winchester 3200.

- are those normal kingstons if yes then , i wud have
suggested hynix original 2x512 ddr400 - d43 chip
its available here

- instead of the sony dvd writer you should have got
pioneer dvr109 or the new upcomming benq dw1640.

- and the most important thing if you thought of overclocking with asus a8n sli you will be stuck
at 250 (1:1) , a DFI Nf4 Sli-DR wud have been the best[only if u wanted to overclock else asus is gr8 mobo].

I'd say it is totally true. Its good to have such knowledgeable members here at TE.

HAI guys,
the 710 T cost arnd 11500Rs (dunno any duty wud be levied) it has dvi
my rig is bought from singapore
the leadtek 6600 gt is preclocked @ 550mhz/1100 & it performs much better than other 6600 gts & also pricd aliittle lesser than other 6600gts from msi & asus which are at 500/1000.I think there is a shootout @ anandtech.com.
Mask u may lookout the reiew b4 buying.
Hey Mahendar , how much did ur apc 800 va costs?? if >>4.5 K i would be gng for cheaper ones.
Btw nebody know ho good is the microtek ups???
Thanks for the posts evrybpdy & cheers,
hari

Been using this Intra ups which i bought for 1800 bux strangely its never given me any problems in 2 years time :)

hai Archish,
May i know how much va ups u using?? i wont be requirung much stand by time.juz need to shut down as soon as a blackout happens thats all! so no point wasting more money on it..

Yep i read the Anandtech article on 6600GT shoot-out. There was one at Toms too. But i am thinking of a X800XL now.. :)

Since u dont need much back up, i wud suggest the APC Back-UPS 500VA. For 2500 bucks u get veru good quality n ever better service. In case ur UPS conks out (which it usually wont), all u need to do is call up their toll-free customer care n register ur complaint along with the serial number on the UPS. U'll get a brand new UPS by courier in a couple of days. Return ur old UPS to the courier guy, collect ur new piece n get going! yes! it is as simple as that!

500VA although it works fine I would recommend APC 500VA.

I am using APC 500VA for my old system and that ups is 5 yrs old now no problems till date. Very Reliable

WAH man the x800 xl is jus raw power!!!!!!!!
You may also wana chkout the plain x800 256 mb ddr3 which is little pricey than the 6600gt but definitely lesser than the xl. however if money isn a problem the x800 xl is best option :hap2:
