Tribal DDB :) I look after Mumbai office, this is for the Delhi office which looks after Honda, but executed by my team here.
 
pretty good, but how will we charge the hybrid car in the jungle ? I know it does mix with the nature..but somewhere in the line it needs energy... xD ..

we need solar hybrid cars... :D
 
^^Hybrid cars don't need electricity to charge.

Nice site but lame car. If one really wants fuel economy, buy a diesel. Most of them are more fuel efficient than the Civic Hybrid

oh **** yes!, I almost lost that thing.

Yup full 110% duty on it. Chaos hybrid cars are worth it in US because diesel is expensive than petrol there.

Saw something in news here too, murli deora finalizing dual pricing for diesel. So that the person who drives Mercedes doesn't get same subsidized pricing.. :p

Pricing of hybrid cars as of now is still ridiculous.
They say they want to promote greener stuff but make it prohibitively priced mostly.
Imho, the efforts and intentions are not sincere enough to make them mainsteam in the first place.
If they are given priority, priced right and made mainstream, the necessary infrastructure and logistics for proper maintenance and backup follows automatically.

Somewhat like they say don't smoke or don't smoke in public places but won't ban the production and sale of tobacco-based products. :no:
 
I feel the best option is to buy smaller cars :) , or stick with your older ones.I'm pretty sure that disposing an old car/manufacturing a new car is worse on the environment than whatever precious little you save with a hybrid

Stick to tweeters and small cones and satellites, woofers and subs and floorstanders waste too much power and add to noise pollution. :bleh:
 
Civic Hybrid is complete crap! Honda just launched it to showcase tech. & carry the tag of launching the 1st. Hybrid in the Country.

There was a study abroad by some agency which called their bluff. According to the study, Civic hybrid is not that environment friendly as claimed by Honda.

If Honda were really bothered about environment & India, they should have committed themselves to the task & started production of the car in India likewise Accord/ CRV/etc.

Oh flip ! You are from Tribal DDB Mumbai office ? I believe I had met you along with my boss Abhijit Kishore at DAKC. You used to work for Rediffusion before right ?
 
OT: I think automatics are the new thing that are gaining more ground in India than hybrids :bleh: .

An automatic transmission for the Scorpio. Now that's the last thing I expected.
