hi guys !!
one of the earplugs of my pl30s has gone kaput X( these were bought from lynx. I called lynx today n they said that "We dont have these in stock". so I asked him how long will it take n the reply was "first send the item then we'll see how long it takes". from his tone m pretty sure I wont be gettin them back pretty soon :(. so the question is can i get them replaced from some where else ??? n can i ask them pl-21 in replacement instead of pl-30
regards
G33kgod

Ask them to send PL21's instead then if you/they are fine with it. Also, other Soundmagic dealers on TE, at their discretion and as an act of goodwill may RMA the product for you even if it isn't bought from them. Do not have any expectations though.
Try to have patience when dealing with Lynx. Getting worked up probably won't make things better. Your focus should only be on getting a replacement.
Hope things work out for you. :)

yup i had asked them for 21 but the reply was same "first send then we will see". before sending them back to lynx I want to try out every possible alternative. so should i approach some TE dealers for help ???

Amarbir after selling all these have left TE now.....now its a pain to claim warranty from him. All dealers are following same procedure...

1. Get on TE

2. get huge fan base

3. Create own online shop

4. Leave TE as now its popular and comes on it own in Google search results

5. Throw TE members away and do business with dumbs

I think we should have an exit clause of like minimum 2 years one should be a dealer. If someone wants to break it, he should pay up for the remaining term ! That way if somebody really faces genuine problems in replacement/RMA once the dealer closes shop here, then may be that corpus can be used as a last measure

Supra, you make a very good point.

I'm not sure if the bosses considered this possibility when accepting the "resignation"(pretty redundant either way). At the end of the day, the deal was made on TE for which the member did not get support(hypothetically speaking and not directed towards anyone in particular).
Its true that you cannot blame Lamington road(XD) if a dealer based there closes shop and leaves you in the cold, but how often is packing up and moving out as simple as in the comfort of the Internet?

Well said man! Truly support your cause.

I could smell the same thing from the way he was talking .... ASA i said the deal was made on TE his voice became rude n started saying i dont have have em in stock we have to see how long it takes n all.... well i'll shoot a Pm to one of the TE dealers n try my luck :(.

Yeah, that dude will beat anyone at getting worked up :D

About the exit clause suggestion; seems like a nice idea but I don't see it covering all the possible damages and might turn into an excuse for dealers to charge a premium on their products.

Nonsense!!

I buy a GFX CARD from some dealer on TE for Rs.25000.00

Some else Buys a Earphone from another dealer for Rs.600.00

Imagine both of them are reimbursed from this so called corpus fund!!

We get another 5 people like this and the so called corpus fund is gone katput!!!

Think about it!!

or i guess people make it a point to buy products ONLY that can be just RMA'ed from the company service centers!!! caution can be taken when buying stuff which needs to get back to the dealer and warranty coverage is via the dealer only.

@ G33kGod : there are a lot of reputed dealer onboard TE who also have the soundmagic deals going on, approach them and see if they can help you on goodwill.

hey guys !!

just received a PM from Anuj (mediahome.in) and he has agreed to replace the product:hap2:. it is really a very kind gesture from his side.very generous dealer. really saved me from going through a lot of pain. wont think even once while making a deal with him :)

^ hats of to Anuj for the noble gesture....just goes to show that we do have great dealers on board who would go the extra mile for the community.....

I agree , there should be some kind of one time dealer joining/selling fee say abt 5 ~ 10k or may be more. Or like per year fees. After all these dealers make profits from TE Community, and then disappear :@ .
Also the dealers who just dont care coz their pupose is done here, should be banned in future and not allowed to trade here.

a simple gesture on part of this guy, has seen him gaining respect and trust in the members. As a dealer for soundmagic he can get it done, but again for something that was not even bought from him.:hap2:

Great going Anuj. I hope you stay and make this community a better place

Very good point... you are very observant! :hap2:
