The original movie was decent if not great. Still stands nowhere near the likes of Jason and the Argonauts which was made like 20 years before this one. Also people must realize that this is a mythology and movie makers can add their own masala without being called inaccurate.

Only the medusa looked better of all the creatures. Esp. the stare.

And where are the titans? All I saw was the gods. :S
 
^^ Thats what I said to my friends. There wasnt a single titan. I was hoping for chronos or gaia to make an appearance, well that didnt turn out very well.
 
Yeah . Exactly the reason GOW III is so much better,

Only the first 10 min opening sequence of the game brings the movie down on its knees :D
 
^Dude forget GOW series for the storyline. Perseus is nowhere related to Kratos. Zeus had had a lot of fcuk buddies. Apart from that, the GUI wasn't all that good. Since when did Zeus sport a shining armor? Even the Kraken seemed to be overdone. :|

Perseus is the great grandfather of Hercules. He is also a step brother to Hercules since they are both offspring of Zeus. That makes him related to the fictional kratos as well. In fact every one you know in Greek mythology is connected to another via Zeus regardless of when they lived. Zeus was like the male equivalent of Cleopatra (Cleopatra is suppoed to have slept with more than 10,000 people). He slept around a lot. Some even claim Alexander the great is an offspring of zeus. :P

As for the accuracy of clothing and armor, I have not watched the new movie, but this is a mythology we are talking about, everything cannot be accurate. For that matter most of the greek gods godesses are depicted in the nude in most of the literature. Even the people had near nude apperal. Can they make a movie true to that with so many characters. :P
 
If you are talking about GOW 3, it had partial nudity only at a couple of places and its nothing like whats depicted in literature/art.
 
LoL it was expected to be bad so whats new. Plus the 3D in this movie is a post process. The movie wasn't shot in 3D.

If you want an actual 3D movie, go watch How To Train Your Dragon which releases on 17th Apr.
