Wanna Know Especially About How to Clean -

1.Side and Front Fans

2.Cpu Fan

3.LCD Screen

4.The Keyboard (Cant Remove The Grime)

5.The Front Mesh

6.The Speaker Covering Fabric (Creative Labs Inspire 2500 - reviews - PC Components - PC Speakers - Good Gear Guide)

TIA

For Monitor, get a anti electrostatic Solution ( sorry donno what its called , but it stops the screen from getting charged (charge attracts dirt) ) and a Good Microfiber Cloth, if you buy a good solution i think you will get a good microfiber cloth with it!

Remember , these will cost you around 4-500 , and they are worth it ! :)

Speaker Covering Fabric : Vacuum cleaner ( Low power setting)

the Front Mesh : Vacuum cleaner ( highest power )

Fans : leave them be. they are very hard to clean ...remove and clean with cloth if you want them to look good otherwise dont bother.

Keyboard : flip the keyboard Downward and Press the Keys one by one with your hand , Keep doing it , it Solves it all !

i use damp (not wet cloth which leaves water spots behind) to clean those 5-7 blade fans. dont use any detergent, just plain water. and every 6 months or so i remove the heatsink and wash it thoroughly with cold water and soak it in dilute detergent water to remove the dust in the gaps. do not use any dish washing liquid as it will react with aluminum and corrode it.

leave it to dry near an open window after washing it again with plain cold water.

Edit: remove the fan first from the heatsink. You just need to pry the fan from the heatsink by releasing the side plastic clips/retainers from the aluminum fins. and make sure you have some good thermal paste handy to reseat the heatsink.

for lcd monitors, just plain damp microfiber cloth is good enough. no fancy solution is necessary. just wipe with even strokes from top to bottom.

for the keyboard, you can remove individual keys and use a brush to clean up the dirt below. leave the space bar as it is difficult to set it back in one try. take a pic with a digicam (so you put them back in the right order) if you want to remove all keys first or you can do individual rows of alphabets.

Thnx For Replyin

actually the sticky dirt in the keys is what irritates me most

Any Links Mate?

Just dip it in a bucket full of water :P

Just kidding, for the fans, rub the blade using moist cloth and you can pour 2-3 drops of old in the hole by peeling off the sticker (that stick on the fan), this reduces fiction.
