I get 7.5- 8 KB ps on my 64 kbps Hathway connection.

Am not too sure but I'm guessing that when one is trying to view a webpage, tcp does a parity check on the datagrams/packets...therefore say a 80 kiloBYTE page won't load in 10 seconds but more....

hwever while d/l ing a 800KB file, the same woul actually download in ~100 seconds......nott too sure what the logic behind this is...will google this in the day an post
superczar,

Data Compression.

hmmm...But how id this data compression different than the file compression algorithms used by say zip/rar files or already compressed files like jpegs?
