but still i cant figure out where the prob..is.......

i have amd 3000+ asus a8ne
1 120gb sata drive
becoz of this prob my antivirus gets outdated...can someone help???

theres a thread at AT where someone got this error after he overclocked too much or something .. memory related

Have you tried reflashing the BIOS ? I dont know what flasher is required for your board but if it works with the DOS flasher AFUDOS than try it with the /n /pbnc switches - This will clear old data, update bios, update boot block and verify data. This gives a full and complete update.

If you are not comfortable flashing the BIOS than please dont try it as there is always a slim chance of getting the BIOS corrupted if not done with care.

flashed the bios didnt helped much.............i too guess its memory related but whts the prob i cant figure out.......

which bios now ? and what timings are you using the ram at ? try running 2t command rate for the ram

Some more thoughts....

I have heard that if a BIOS is flashed when the CPU is O/C or the ram timings are set for high speed than the type of problem you are facing can occur. Try default speeds and timings and then remove battery and set jumper for clear CMOS wait a few minutes and power on. Then reflash BIOS with options given by me if your BIOS supports AFUDOS.

I have also heard that starting the computer with CPU removed and then shutting and reinserting CPU can help correct these type of problems.

Make sure SMPS power cable to mother board is disconnected when clearing CMOS via jumper.

With all I have said it could just be ram gone bad... can you try another ram module first.... try starting the comp with no ram inserted in the slots and then replace them - this is also known to help sometimes.

If you want to see your computer definitely run perfectly then take it to your hardware supplier - it is guaranteed to run smooth as silk as long as it is there. :)

i had the same problem & then it kept searching for the bios on cdrom/floppy so i inserted the cd i got with my mobo & it fixed the bios.

i have had this probs twice before.

try ur mobo cd n see. i am using asus k8v-x

ram is transcend pc 3200...timming 2.5-3-3

i checked all options but its still repeating....can someone giv some software name through which i can tak logs and show u ppl........

hey, guys, i have A8N SLI deluxe. Same problem with me, i m running default speeds for all my systems, I flashed the bios, changed battery and everything. Please help

Jalsa777, After flashing the bios - enter boot screen - look for a setting called optimised default or something - click save - exit - reboot - check if the error is stopped.

Basically , after flashing you need to save your bios once or on boot up you would get cmos checksum error - iirc.

Actually this problem is not related to low CMOS battery. It's related to a crystal quartz on the motherboard. Due to the heat, the crystal mustve melted and not being able to register the time and not being able to store memory.

You need to get it fixed by a component level repair person who does repairing in motherboards, cpus etc.
