PC Peripherals COD2 works on Ati X300(64) and not on an Ati 9000

Theres a difference in the Architecture, and generation of cards there.

9000 Series is the one prior to the x300 Series. Its not fair to comepare, or even think that the 9000 can match upto the x*** Series.

Clock speed doesnt really much.

A 7800GT at 400 Mhz beats my x800xl @ 400 Mhz :|.

Quite comprehensively. Coz its a different Generation of cards.

Lol thats not a fair comparison. the 7800 GT has 20 ps,7vs while the xl has 16,6. Its not coz its a diff generation of cards. Gf ur on a roll this week (witness the "Xenos is R420 based", "RSX is 6800 based", followed up by "No its actually G60 based" :rofl: statements ) :bleh: Anyway akshitmohan u got the picture. 6600 GT will make the game run much much better, and then u can show ur cousin :hap2:
