a reliable 450W is enuf for 8800GT, you do not need to get a new PSU.

Sorry to hack this thread but my copy apparently refuses to start with Single Player mode.Multiplay starts up fine but when I start Single Player it just crashes.Any ideas? I have 93.75 driver version would that be a suspect?

think the dev thought every pc gamer owns a 8800gtx..

ny ways cod4 not at all heavy on d system.

Yup, like Arnold mentioned 'Normal' is the max setting on COD4. Nothing to do with Vista or Xp..

The game is pretty easy on the graphics card as long as u have a > 7600GT card.

i think i know what the problem is, have you installed alky project? (dx10 for xp).
if so delete the files from that installation. and your drivers are years old so performance is affected as well as games supported so update your drivers at this site = Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies =

the game isnt that heavy...it works at all maxed out(including aa/af) at 1024 on my 8600gt

works freakin smoothly on my 8800 gt .. all settings maxed out .. love this game!
