Codemaster are capable for delivering awesome race games
Their latest game DIRT is a rocker

Expecting a great F1 game for PC from them

i usually dont like simulation games... i never liked any Colin MC series games..

but DIRT..... man its awesome !
 
loved CMR 03,04...loved DiRT.....am floored by GRID.....what a game....this is so far the closest i have felt to driving in a game....sense of being there (the cockpit view) is so good....very optimized game (unlike DiRT)...

Are you serious?! Be sure to try GTR2, LFS, rFactor (with some good mods) and Richard Burns Rally. If you like the cockpit view and realism and you think GRID is the best so far, then I think you've missed/missing out on a LLOOTTTT :@
 
don't get me wrong....i've driven in cockpit views in the games you mentioned....but that 'sense' doesn't come....in here...its so ...surreal.....play it and you'll know....this thing will beat even gtr2.....and i love arcade more than simulation.....hate the europe touring tacks even in GRID....streets are where the fun is....
 
Should run reasonably well after some tweaking.
There's also a hack to disable all the post processing effects which should make the performance skyrocket. Although without those effects the game looks exactly like GTR 2.
 
Grid demo hangs on my PC: Intel Core 2 Duo 6300 (1.83 GHz), 2GB RAM, 8600GT when i am in game menu.

Even DirT used to hang on my machine in menu so i couldn't play it. Any ideas?

I have same config but 7900 GS and 1 GB Ram.. Its works pretty good.. nearly max out everything "except" i play in 1024 :bleh:
