Got hold of the Spyder 2 from Sanjeev(espeez). Wouldn't have been possible otherwise :hap2: ...Thanks a ton man :)

Anyway here's how to use the color profile ( Spyder2Express.icc attached be low after zipping to rar)

1. Factory reset the LCD using the main menu (last in main menu). Use "All settings" to reset all color & brightness values.

2. Undo any changes done in Nvidia/ATI/Intel Driver Control panel for desktop color changes.

4. Copy the Spyder2Express.icc(this is the color profile) file to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\color" directory

3. Right Click on Desktop >>> Go to Proprties >> Click on Settings >> Advanced >> Color Management >> Click Add & point to Spyder2Express file

5. After adding the Spyder2Express icc file , set that as default and voila now you have readymade calibrated LCD :hap2:

I dont have a digi cam with me to show you the results. Whoever uses the profile & calibrates please dont forget to post the results here with pics taken with digicam before & after calibration. Plz also post your thoughts about how goods it looks to you in practice :)

I am a bit n00b can any one guide me what is the benefit of calibrating a LCD. What if I use it as is. I got a Viewsonic 19" LCD but have not calibrated it.

errr. anyone tell me how exactly to do this in vista. I tried it, but couldn't find any difference, not a single bit of it :ashamed:

LOL...I didn't try in Vista so dnt know abt it. As of the profile its done on an A02 panel of E228wfp...to revert it back just delete the profile :) and use general sRGB color space profile which is used by default in windows
