We completed our Mumbai trip and returned back to Hyderabad, we landed at Dadar and taken room in Dadar in Hotel Karishma rent @ 1300 with A/C for 2 bed. Took a taxi for a trip in city, visited Gateway of India, BSE, Cotton Bazzar for an amount of Rs.500 and other places. Next day we went to Goregaon East for Exhibition, afternoon we returned and next day we wasted time with wrong planning to Matheran, returned to Hyderabad yesterday morning through Konark express.
I feel very sad, nobody properly guided us to visit Matheran, best planning for who want to visit is, book tickets in advance from Nerul(NRL) to Materan(MAE) for toy trains through IRCTC.in. Never go by taxi. We have wasted energy and time by walking from taxi stand to bazaar(nearly 4 kms up). we returned without visiting any places.
There are 4 trains from Neral to Matheran and same way in return. First train will start from Neral at 7:30AM and reach matheran at 9:30AM.Catch a local train from CSTM or DADAR to NERAL. journey will be around 1 and half hour. Try to reach Neral at 7AM. Go and enjoy in Matheran, same way return last train will start at 16:25 and reach Neral at 18:10, you can catch local train and reach Mumbai. We dont have time to visit lonavala and khandala.
