Coming Up Google OS

Google has ideas for creating an OS . they call it the Google OS www.kottke.org/04/04/google-operating-system . they also have an idea of creating an browser www.kottke.org/04/08/the-google-browser. this would give goolge an competing edge over microsoft. even google seem to recruit people for this purpose. they seem to get experts from the microsoft for this project

I dont think it will be able to compete against Longhorn. Google should stay where they are, I don't think OSes are their forte...

But when u read the last link u see that goolge r employing the experts of Windows OS to create there OS. So that should be an leading edge.

Google is a company that has built a single very large, custom computer. It's running their own cluster operating system

i think its quite normal to corporates and high end projects to have their own dsistributed /cluster computing OS 's for inhouse work . I really doubt that this means that they'll release one for personal use though. scpetical about that screenie as well....nice find though !
