PC Peripherals comp not shuting down completely

hi a minor or major prob not sure though,once a while even after the computer shuts down completely the keyboard and optical mouse lights still remain on,any idea what is causing this

my config
msi k9mm-v,amd 4200 x2,2*1gb transcend/ddr2/667mhz,xfx 6800gt agp,creative soundblaster live,pctv,160gb sata hitachi disk and benq dvd writer powering all this coolermaster 380 psu

Its ok...dont let it get into ur head and bother it have been facing the same on my system since a while now.....doesnt matter or cause any problem in performance.

the "power up through K/B or mouse" feature on the mobo causes this. Using this, you can turn on the system w/o using the power button on the ATX case (like if its in a hard to reach place). Just set the keys in the BIOS and you are good to go.

Refer to your manual to find out how to disable it (although there is no harm in leaving it as it is)
