my ac too is in the terrace...in the sense .. im in the floor just below the terrace ....there is a gap of ~1Feet btween the ac & the compressor..

On the other hand...does these compressors need any maintainence?...cleaning or such...its been ~1yr & i never layed my hand on it..:lol:

Yes all Dealer ask installation charges extra from 1000-1200. Dealer told me that 13 feet pipe/fittings included with Onida Split AC package and for extra I need to pay Rs.175/- per feet.

Did STABILIZER really requires for AC in Mumbai City.

Do any one of you know the Onida Flat Model with DC Inverter Technology - dealer claim that it will save 35% electricity.:S

Dc Inverter technology is same as in Daikin and yes it does save electricity, but the upfront cost is higher.

the grill model has both front and upper suction channels so if the distance is long(between indoor and outdoor unit) as in your case, it does help if airflow is better.

now as i dont have much time these days due to heavy professional work and renovation work at home, unfortunately i could not visit the display place for your review. i will try to if i can today afternoon.

which wide display powerflat unit are you talking about, is this one?


if yes then its the same which i got installed at my place.

one more point i have now two frizair window units of 1.5 tonne, one electrolux 1.5 tonne split, and two onida splits (one 1 tonne and one 1.5 tonne). in stark comparison to electrolux, the onida model is less noisy so i am happy.

No, the GRL 1TON model come out with Large Display - instead of this small ROUND COIN SHAPE DISPLAY and displaying various like temp, cooling etc. etc.
