Config 1
AMD AthlonII X2-240
Asus M2N68-AM-PLUS
I GB DDR2 800MHz Kingston/Transcend
Seagate 250GB SATAII 7200.12 Series
Zebronics Bijli with included SMPS -OR- Zebronics Bijli without included SMPS and FSP Saga 350W
Samsung SH-S22F SATA Optical Drive
Benq 15 inch LCD T53W

Config 2
AMD AthlonII X2-240
Biostar TA785GE
I GB DDR2 800MHz Kingston/Transcend
Seagate 250GB SATAII 7200.12 Series
Zebronics Bijli with included SMPS -OR- Zebronics Bijli without included SMPS and FSP Saga 350W
Samsung SH-S22F SATA Optical Drive
Dell E1910 IN LCD

Most probably I will be buying Config 1 but may opt for Config 2 if my final budget permits.
1. The config 1 Motherboard and monitor do not support DVI. Would it make much difference?
2. Should I invest in a separate Power Supply?
3. Will I be able to add a graphic card later to config 1?

I am on a budget. So even though my younger brothers would like to play games as well, the maximum that I hope for is decent inbuilt graphics.

Apart from that this will be a general home PC - surfing, office work, movies, dvd burning.

The 2nd config is much better than the 1st one.

I am assuming that you do not have a discrete graphics card already and will rely on the onboard graphics of the motherboard.
Then the onboard ATI Radeon 4200 on the 785G motherboards are a lot better than that of the 1st motherboard.

Also, if possible, dont buy 15 inch LCD monitors. The price difference between 17/19 inch and 15 inch monitors is not much. But the quality of panel used for the 15 inch monitors is not good. Most of the 15 inch monitors use panels which have response time of around 16ms.
If you want to watch movies or play games on the monitor then you will notice ghosting effect on the monitor. For smooth visuals, 8ms response time is the bare minimum.

Please mention your budget too.
Then we may be able to suggest some better components which may cost even less but give comparable or even better performance.

Then get the Second config. It's IGP can run all games at 1024*768 with lowered details. Don't get the first one, it will cripple the CPU. Get at least the FSP SAGA 350W you mentioned. If you have any plans of upgrading (GPU) in the future, that may differ.
