PC Peripherals config for Win 7

Hi Everyone
I'm new here & need some advice about configuring a new machine compatible with win 7.
My need is basically for home use , moderate gaming, & will like to configure the machine in near future to play HD movies , so digital audio & video output availability along with eSATA port & good LAN networking ports are essencial for me..... Hope you'll can help in fine tuning my config...

Motherboard ---Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R
RAM ---Kingston DDR2 800MHZ 2x2 GB
Graphics ---ATI Shaphire 4670 1GB
Optical Drive ---LG GH22
Hard Disk ---Seagate 500GB SATA HDD

Instead of Intel, go for a Phenom II +785 combo. much better. will be definitely better than intel.

@santro20, as others have mentioned, go for AMD based setup. The core2duo's are based on a 3yr old architecture and Intel has already starting replacing them with faster core i3s and core i5s. If you strictly want Intel rig, then you wait for these.

AMD Athlon II and Phenom II are based on very new architecture and they are much better in performance.

Do mention you budget when you are looking for config.

2Gb will be enough for most of the games even in Vista.

thanks for your reply. will look into AMD also. my budget is around 25k (INR) for machine , including cabinet...& pwr supply.

Can i use this combination without gpu to start with & add gpu later....??
does this mobo have eSATA & digital Audio/Video output..

This has a e-sata and a HDMI port and yes the 785G should suffice until you get a GPU.
