PC Peripherals CONFUSED .... wha to get frm us???

what ever hardware i hv is there in my siggy.
now the prob is 1 of my frns is coming frm us in june . he can get some stuff frm me. but i m confused wha to get. budget is 300$ max.
first i thought of gfx card , but i bought my card x1600xt less than 45 days back. same wid the mobo. so donno wha to do.
should i get a video card , mobo or something else.
and i m nt into OC'ing bigtime , so coolers r out.

Well hummer, if I were you, I'd probably get this.

You'll easily find a buyer for your 3200+ and with an X2 you'll have a Dual-Core that'll handle Vista as well, and you can then stick to 939 for atleast a year.

Well 4200+ is available for around $360 (16.5k) on Newegg.

Since you said your budget is $300, I suggested the 3800+ which is selling at an awesome price ;)
 
I would say an LCd... That too a good one with wide screen support... A 19" will be good buy... low response time... You get those for over 25K here... Cause they are last thing to get outdated...

HE s a good frnd. he also recommened me to get LCD,:bleh: veiwsonic vx 922.
BUT still i m happy wid my CRT.Arent CRTS r better than LCDS fr gaming n watching movies
 
I have no idea how much of a gamer you are but if you plan to play Oblivion, ut2k7 and such i'd recommend a gpu upgrade. That x1600xt won't last long seeing the kind of games that are gonna come out soon by the year end. Your best bet would be a x1800xt 512Mb or a 7900GT 256Mb. Though i'd suggest getting the x1800xt.

i was abt to start a thread just like this...;)
well the thing is i am only a casual gamer..& dont prefer any GPU/PSU upgrade as of now...;)
so i am getting a
-------------------------------
G7-laser(~65 $)
a 2GB SD card (~50$)
a 2GB flash drive (~50$)
Now...i'm thinking of getting a 17" LCD..but i'm happy with my CRT too..:)

& guys whats the cost difference btw...250/300GB HDDS' ...(sata/ata) in US compared to here..?
 
Dont buy HDDs from abroad.... They are prone to crashing and warrranty is a big issue.

@Hummer ---- I vote for The graphics upgrade..... If you buy a monitor with high resoltuion, then you cant play games on it properly coz your graphics is outdfated
