Very True.... In a big country like india, only they find is bowlers like pathan, dinda, praveen kumar, the other kumar(dont even kno his name), munaf patel, ashwin and other partimers raina, sharma etc etc... I only find Zaheer as a true bowler in Indian team at present but he now-a-days is mostly injured.. Useless bowlers.. Full toss in International cricket?? One or two is ok, but this many?? I hate watching such matches where they cant even apply their brains before balling the next ball....

Had india concentrated on creating good bowlers a little then india would've won in australia and here,too much focus on batting,india needs good bowlers.

^ The other Kumar is Vinay Kumar. That cretin is from Kumble's coaching institute, same for another guy called Abhimanyu Mithun. Both combined cant effing bowl faster than Kumble himself. And this guy Dinda, what has this idiot done other than IPL? If we were to go by IPL, then why have Gambhir why not have Paul Valhaty.

The thing is..
A guy plays for 22 years for his country. Creates tons of runs and in the process records as well.
Now he approaches something NEVER ACHIEVED BEFORE.. everybody gets talking about it. Maybe he started feeling the pressure, maybe he wasnt in good touch/out of form.. w.e. After trying in India/Abroad, there comes a chance where to score and get the elusive monkey off the back is best.. cuz the oppositon is weak and the match comparatively low on risk. So he goes for it and gets it. I think the team and nation can allow that much leeway.
Now you or anybody else can only Guess/Imagine what pressure he was feeling. Let any other batsman come near that feat and then we might compare.
About the bowling, any fine day the batting suffers a collapse.. and scores 240 still.. we better not bowl at all cuz we cant defend a 290 against BD. That we need to keep scoring excess of 300 every single time... That's what u hinting at..?
Any cricket team should have a bowling adept enough to allow the batting unit a leeway of 40-50 deliveries. We never had a bowling attack which was fearsome and atm just got bunch of school dropouts with no sleight as bowling unit and that's the bottomline.
funny part...all Indian and Bangladeshi cricket forums are down..Looks like Sachinistas are not taking it easy....they are bringing all of them down...There were around 50 odd men watching on the streetside tv shop...one common line..."The moment tendu hit a 100...i knew this match was gone"(PS: i filtered a lot of curse words in that comment)...

India never had the bowlers to defend confidently! Also, let's not forget this: Bangladesh is a pretty good side in home conditions, they almost pulled off a win against Pakistan too the other night! And yes, I do believe we were short by 20-25 runs today!
Thats not the way u look at it...add 30 more runs and our dancing queen "phaast" bowlers could have restricted bangladeshis..Seriously..Dinda..Pathan...Kumar*2 nos..enough of this 125-130kph crap...

This is why we should promote other sports. India needs to look for superstars in other forms of sport as well and respect them more than we respect cricketers because they don't get the limelight, facilities, attention, funding and recognition they deserve.
I love motorsports. Make race tracks in every city and for a small fee allow people to come and enjoy track days. Atleast we could spawn a few F1 or Motogp racers. Encourage football. Encourage every other form of sport and give it the required infrastructure.

I find this talk about 100 tons a bit odd. Never before we had people adding centuries from Test and odis to form a total. If you look this way - my guess is Desmond Haynes and Gavaskar were tied for a long time
The real stat will be 50 ODI and 50 Test hundreds and not 51 -49.
