man, you must have gather lot of courage to drop your IIM job, and switch to unknown roads. I am interested, on how your parents took this initially.

Congrats for taking leap of faith!

Congrats!

Will watch it when I get home tonight.

And of course thanks to the good doc who made us aware about this.

D.Payne, Great to see you follow your passion and also succeed in it/ get recognition.
If you dont mind, could you share the journey from business/management to photography?
TIA

Thank you everyone!

I am SO sorry for not posting earlier, it's been a crazy 30 days for me since I've left my job and I've had NO breathing space whatsoever. Apologies again for the silence from me! :(

I miss TE! (Turns out doing nothing in office is one of the main reasons I had time for TE. :P :P)

@Gaurish: My parents took it very nicely. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have shifted from my first stable proper "IIM-grad" job of being a sales/brand manager guy at a reputed FMCG firm to a niche design consultancy. :) From there taking this leap wasn't as tough as convincing myself that this was IT. Every single shot I nail makes me happy and though I "work" more than 16hrs a day, 7 days a week, and haven't seen a movie in nearly 2 months or just chilled out, I am happy and couldn't be happier.

The next 60 days are going to be even tougher, but they are just as rewarding!

@iaudio: I've been a totally addicted photographer for 9 years now, and making the jump wasn't as much about jumping as it was about making a business out of it. All my business skills have helped me get here, without the commercial assignments I am just another photographer with lots of great photographs. :)

@Everyone else: Check out my Facebook page for a lot more of my photographs and many many more updates!

Cheers!

Joe
