Congress seems to have a big lead!!

I do not care which party forms the government. They are mostly the same. I am extremely happy though that there will be a stable government.

I am exceptionally happy the commies have lost so many. YAY!!:hap2:  :ohyeah:

this is good news. not that i support any one coalition or the other, but it's generally a good thing that the government coming to power has a good, stable majority. if the upa/nda had been left under 200 seats each then these other people (left/4th front) would have taken their pound of flesh where it would hurt the most. now at least the upa doesn't have to make concessions to them on the scale that they would have if they were in a weaker position.

It was pretty much expected that congress would win, dont know who would vote for the retard advani considering he keeps changing the statements like he changes clothes. But if Modi would have been the prime ministerial candidate then prolly it would have been a different ballgame all together imho.

DC -- No comments from you! I'm not a Gandhi fanboi(but of course, y ou think I am :P )

I'm happy the UPA won only because we will not see a U turn on the so-called development work started in the past 5 years.

Ya the undoing of what all has been done till now is such a pissoff...
This is why Kerala is so sucky....
Its always a seesaw over there....
one guys goes and destroys the scams the other guys have built...
and promptly found some new scams of their own..
only to be rewritten 5 years later.. SAD..
Third front and commies are some puny pricks who wants to shout and generally embarass the working government...
I really wanted a congress win...
The one single fact that Mr Advani had an internet propaganda program, while he himself may not know what Internet is, really put me off..
This was precisely the only reason i voted against BJP..
I hate pretenders..
IMHO advaniji's knowledge in internet ends at
" ye tho TV jaisa kuch cheez hoga"

Good that UPA is getting some decent numbers. I am a rightist but I don't think BJP is the right party. And even if it is, with the kind of leaders they have right now - ultra-nationalist, turncoats whose sole occupation is to bash minorities and su*k up to Sangh Parivar - the party does not deserve to be in govt yet.

BJP ran a campaign on strong party and strong leader even though in reality neither Advani nor BJP has any definite agenda apart from hating minorities. Their talk of national importance and strong government is nothing but all hot talk:

See what happened when the strong leader was home minister:

* Released terrorists during Kandhar. It was his first real test and he failed.

* Failed to control riots and massacre in Gujarat

* A number of terrorists attacks took place.

* POTA was misused.

Then there is the curious case of BJP's opposition to Nuclear Deal even when it is clear that this deal is win-win for India. Even more amusing is its flip-flop. One day the say they support the deal. Next day they say they oppose it. Third day they say they will scrap it. Fourth day they say they won't.
Same flip-flop is one the issue of black money.
BJP was in power for five years, yet they did nothing to resolve the issues on which they go shouting sermons in the streets (read uniform civil code and article 370). No tight fiscal policies, no good decent security policy, no fresh look at internal security (apart from bashing minorities), no development plank... nothing at all.

And I am happy that Paswan, Lalu and hypocrite Left have been routed.

^^ Are you Sonia Gandhi in disguise @_@.

And about People crying about the Kandahar issue, atleast the terrorists were released to save the lives of 150+ people and not the life of a minister's daughter **cough** mehb00ba mufti **cough**, and had the then government taken a tough stand and not released the terrorists the same people wouldve gone "OMG cant they release 3 people for 150 people, what kinda person puts 150 peoples lives at stake for releasing 3 people, OMG".

This country deserves no better than the Congress and Pseudo-secularists, now chew on the Gandhi surname :|.

Afzal guru lives!! He must be celebrating by having Pizzas and pastas in jail

Lol if morgorth loves pizza.. pasta lasagna...
loves to sip Espresso,Cappuchino etc... (Which i guess he probably will..)
Then we can confirm it....

I don't care too much for politics since I think all parties are corrupt, but better Congress than BJP who are pretty much nationalist hindu terrorists is the conclusion I arrive at with whatever little politics I follow. Plus, I liked having a "Doctor" (Manmohan Singh) as PM, wonder who will end up being PM this time...

Aree Bajpai... you ought to rest now. Don't get so hot under collar.

Anyways, let us not talk about what BJP did not do during NDA rule... but what it did? Is there anything "decisive" the "strong govt" of BJP did during its rule

Do you really expect a one-term govt to correct the errors and misdeeds of part 50 years of governance ...or the lack of it?

Manmohan is a backdoor entry PM. He never won any election once in his life. And the so called popular mandate is little more than an illiterate and confused lot supporting their beloved Nahru-Gandhi clan, 'cause that's all they get to read in their patheric sarkari textbooks -- the greatness and uber-awesomeness of an old man, whose best ace up his sleeve was a failed Quit India Movement, and a certain Jokerlal Nehru who gave us J&K mayhem and the beloved Chinese brotherhood. All hail their children, their grand-children and grand-grand-whatever-to-be.

People of this nation want everything but change. Changes scare us.

^^ when they were in power, BJP attempted to try and project itself as more secular but when they suffered elections setbacks after than, they switched back to their original rhetoric. Had they persisted with that change then I would have respected then for at least being consistent.

As such, Congress seems to be the lesser of the evils but my heart sinks a little each time I see Manmohan and the Gandhi's on tv.

On another note, just saw a beaming Achuthanandan on tv ;) On the other hand Pinarayi is nowhere to be seen.

^Only because Vajpayee's was a coalition government. I'm sure you didn't expect much from the past MMS govt because of the same. Left and other allies kept bickering all the time. Sometimes you make compromises to keep it going.

Congress and her allies are not democratic when it comes to their own internal elections. Isn't that why the likes of Sonia, Laloo, Maya, Mulayam, Jaya and Paswan go on acting like kings and queens with no one to question their sole authority in their parties? How can such a front even assure a democratic central authority?

Second issue is the inherent oligarchy and bootlicking of the Nehru-Gandhi clan in Congress. How many Gandhis does this country need as premieres to pay its debt(!) to a clown like JLN? Rahul is openly being projected as the next PM. How qualified exactly is he, or his sister ...or their mother? A shame on this a billion strong country!

People of this nation: you deserve not this faux-democracy in its glory, but a full-blown monarchy. And I shall laugh when ye get down on yer knees to worship Gandhian gods every morning.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

AWESOME!

not a big fan of congress but certainly they do have better leaders and certainly the best party to vote for.I hate BJP and their cowardliness, take a stand and stick to it ffs!

and most happy that there will be a stable govt. finally!

LOL@3rd,4th fronts! HAHAHAHAHA, in your face 'dalit ki beti'.I bet she can't spell Prime Minister in English properly.:\

Atleast a stable government , but Congress = Reservations , thats the only reason i dont like them . On a side note , Left won less than half of its 2004 tally , Also LJP won 0 seats , even the founder Mr Paswan lost , he has his name in the Guinness book of records for the biggest margin of victory , what a turnaround
