Connecting AUX speakers to a "smart" TV

Hey TE community,

I have a so-called 'smart' tv - Samsung AU7500 - it has regular hdmi ports, a hdmi ARC port, USB and optical audio port but no AUX jack to connect speakers in. Right now i'm using it with a fire tv stick 4k connected to one of the hdmi ports.
I have some old speakers which have a standard 3.5mm jack and I wish to connect this to the TV, but sadly I am not able to figure out how, since there is no AUX.

Has anybody encountered this issue before? I assumed all tv's would have something as simple as an AUX port but I guess I was wrong, it is sad to see they are taking it away from TV's too. If anybody has any ideas on how I could connect it, I would be grateful for the help. I guess one way is to get a bluetooth audio receiver - but I'm hoping there is a much simpler way to connect them using hardware or maybe get some kind of an audio adapter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

It's fairly common for TVs to not have analogue out these days, since speakers come with digital inputs.

You need a simple DAC like this one

It comes with optical cable. Connect it to your TV, then connect the speaker to this.

Be warned though, you'll not be able to control the volume of the speaker using your TVs volume control with this setup. So unless your speakers have a remote of their own, be prepared to go old school, having to change the volume manually by getting up.

Some brands do this to upsell their soundbars.

1. Bluetooth audio receiver is the cheapest and simplest option.
2. Otherwise, you have an option of Optical to RCA as suggested by the gourav.
3. Then there are USB to 3.5 sound cards. Android on the phones support these. No idea about android on the TVs. But then samsung doesn't even use android.
4. Most expensive and stupid option would be using HDMI arc extractor.

Yup I faced a similar problem with my old Samsung TV. The easiest way I could connect my Logitech Z623 with the TV was through a bluetooth connection.
I had used the Logitech bluetooth adapter to get the job done and it was pretty seamless for the most part.
