Connecting LG 42' plasma to a 2.1 Speaker. Will it work out ?

Hi guys,

Am planning to connect LG PQ60 42 Inch Plasma to Altec Lansing MX5021 2.1 speakers using the following connection.
Please look at the image attached.

I will connect the 3.5 mm jack of the speakers to the black end.
RED and WHITE will be connected to the Audio out of the Plasma.
I will change the TV audio(tv speakers) settings to OFF and use only the AUDIO OUT options.

I am using Reliance Digital BIG TV Connection for Cable in Home.
I also watch HD movies via a Laptop HDMI Connection

Let me know if i will get the full effect of the Altec Lansing MX5021 Speakers???

it will work perfectly.,fine tune the audio settings on TV for the best suited mode....
