Hiya!

I came across this site just this saturday and it has been immensely helpful. Since I read this site, i've purchased a LCD TV as well as a system (for which i had no plans). Thanks guys for all the help and inputs.

Now to the point, i was wondering if i can connect the speakers to my LCD TV. I bought Panasonic LCD TV (TH-L32C8D) and I got Philips HTS3265 and Philips MMS 5130 free with it. I have set up the HT but i wanna know if i can connect the speakers to the TV. I have TATAsky..

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Let me assume that the Philips models you have mentioned is a DVD Player with 5.1 Surround Speakers.

I also assume that you want to hear TATASky over the 5.1 surround system.

You cannot directly connect the speakers to the TV. But what you can do is take the TATASky's audio outputs and plug them into the AUX input in the DVD player. Then watch the TATASky in the TV and switch on your DVD player and change the source to AUX input and voila!!! there you have your pseudo 5.1 [or stereo, whatever you prefer] from your Philips speakers.

Hi,

I am also planning to buy the same model. Could you please let me know the purchase price and any review comments (both pros & cons).

Thanks,

Alternately you can also connect the TV Audio out to the Aux in the DVD player. This will mean that anything that is played on TV can be routed through the 5.1. Moreover you need not always switch on the DVD player to watch TV.
