@ iamddevil :

i dont think so as wher my father went to bank to cancel the cheques, bank manager didnt talked any thing regarding the cheques reciving...

and thank you for your valuable information on cheques...

on thats clear that he cant do much more about the cheque but what about his gundagiri ?

my father r'nt here and if he finds me on a road and as he is big by size also what action i can do ???

if he trys to pick up the fights then, plus he knows my father isnt around and so he could drag me to police which he as a friend and last time also he brought one ( 1 was police from the 5 people which came with him when we invited him to talk )

so at such situtation what shall i do ???
If you live in Ramgarh then you could ask Gabbar for help though you might end up regretting it later.

Moreover you shouldnt have called them and got into trouble when your friend told that the the owner is searching for you. You are very sure that you had made full payment then why did you contact him ??...

And those 4 cheques dont bear any date, right ?. In this case if your father had cancelled the cheques through the bank at that point of time, then there will be no issue. You can say that stop payment notice has been given long back and and the payee tries to play fraud on you and the cheque itself is invalid. But if the cheques are'nt cancelled yet, then he can present the cheques any time by writing the current date, get a dishonour notice from bank and proceed against you legally as per the provisions of NI Act....

I guess the situation is out of any legal remedies both for the Shop guy as well as the OP and that is wrt documentation of the deal. Usually the shopkeeper is supposed to get a sign from the customer that he has recieved the product.but in this case i suppose this doesn exist. secondly neither does the OP have any bill to produce payment done in full. AFAIK the only way the shopkeeper can extort the money is by threatening. If u feel the guy can go to the extent of physically harassing you then I suggest u get a NC done at the the nearest police station. Considering what u have said that he has contacts inside the PD too. U can always approach higher authorities for the menace created by this guy. And also try and record conversations with this guy. And last but not least stop being paranoid. The best way to deal the situation is by remaining calm. Ask for proof of whatever you owe him. Don't forget to NC urself if u feel things are getting way out of hand. Violence will only worsen the situation. If u resort to violence then i am afraid even law might not be on ur side.
