Hi,

Guys, I need to get in touch with KMD urgently. Need to send in an item for repair/replacement immediately. I've been trying to get in touch with him since mid-August, with no reply.

Since I've been away for awhile, (kept sending the same PM via phone), I didn't realize he seems to have pulled a disappearing act on us.

How do I go about this?

Cheers,
Maestro

PS: Sorry if this is the wrong thread...

He ran away u think he is going to come back
I find it so hard to believe but sadly it seems thats the truth. He was pretty rich, dont know why he would do something like this.

What is it anyway? Asking this since most components can be RMA'd from their HQ which could possibly be in Taiwan. KMD is AWOL so do not expect him to do the RMA for you. I don't think even the pending orders were cleared from his side let alone RMA requests being solicited.

I had a set of G.Skill Pi Black sticks gotten through KMD, which went bad and RMA'd it myself. Sent it to their Taiwan office and got a replacement through DHL. The service was kick ass and was cheap because I had sent it through India Post's Regd. Post! :D

+1 ... I still remember when he started his first deals back in the early days when 8 series card was just introduced . His prices gave the local dealers chill down the spine. But that was once upon a time :)

LOL, forgot to mention it!! It's a Zune 8gb, which I got around the same time last year. It's been unresponsive for a while now. Since it's sold only in the US, I figure that's where I have to send it. I managed to find out that the warranty lasts till mid-December, so exactly 2 months left to send it in.

How costly was it to RMA the RAM yourself? I would probably do it myself if feasible, but according to MS ToS, proof of purchase is required, which I don't have.

183 INR through Regd. Post. :P

I had requested G.Skill customer service to send the replacements through DHL so there may not be tracking/customs issues. They did not warrant a proof of purchase though.

Well in this case with no proof of purchase, thats nothing much u can do. its going to be difficult to convince them otherwise....or try and get kmd to send u the bill, IF (and a big IF)he is reachable.

i wonder if the mods here have spoken to KMD. KMD was paying for selling his stuff here as a dealer, so the mods must probably be in touch with him. I hope the mods can help to clear up all pending issues with KMD, so everyone can move ahead.
